For much of my life I have been drawn to complementary / alternative therapies. I have also, for as long as I can remember, been a strong believer of ‘Mind over Matter’ and the power we have within us to heal ourselves. Sometimes, however, we need help to open up our channels of self-healing …to steer us back on the road to recovery - be it from mental anguish, or emotional trauma, both root causes of physical ailments and discomfort - or to just help us maintain good health and achieve a state of balance and wholeness.
My journey as a facilitator on this holistic path began in 1990, when I was introduced and attuned to energy healing in the form of Usui Reiki which, a decade later, led me to the (Helen Belot) Sekhem® vibrational energy system. Since achieving Master/Teacher level in Sekhem in March 2006, I have also been initiated into Sah Krhem pyramidical living light energy system (a higher octave of the Sekhem energy), and am trained to teach both these energy systems.
Over the years, I have also qualified to practise Reflexology, Indian Head Massage, Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) and Magnified Healing® (a form of divine energy used to heal oneself, others, and our planet).
I am based in North London and give treatments in the tranquil setting of The Hidden Alternative health and beauty studio in North Finchley.
I also do corporate and voluntary work, and some of my other clients include various ethnic community centres. I am also attached to the Barnet Carers Centre as a voluntary therapist for their monthly Relaxation programme designed for Carers in the Barnet area.
In addition, I edit articles on complementary therapies for a UK-based holistic health magazine, and have also authored articles for various publications overseas.
I am a member of the International Federation of Holistic Therapists, the Vocational Training Council Trust and the Pyramidical Living Light Opportunity . I am also a registered Reflexologist with the UK- based Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council.
